History of Our Church
St. Sebastian Church Madathil has been a place of faith, prayer, and Christian fellowship for generations. The parish was established to serve the spiritual needs of Catholic families in the region and has continued to grow through the dedication of its clergy and parishioners.
In its early years, the church began as a small worshipping community where families gathered to celebrate Holy Mass and receive the sacraments. As the number of faithful increased, the parish expanded its ministries and strengthened its role in the local community.
Over the years, several parish priests guided the parish with wisdom and dedication. Through their leadership, the church witnessed the construction and renovation of buildings, improvements in parish facilities, and the development of various spiritual and social activities.
The parish actively promotes catechism, youth ministry, family prayer groups, choir ministry, charitable works, and community service. Annual feast celebrations of St. Sebastian bring together parishioners, visitors, and devotees from different places in a spirit of faith and thanksgiving.
Today, St. Sebastian Church Madathil continues its mission of proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the Holy Eucharist, nurturing Christian values, and serving society with love, compassion, and unity. The parish remains committed to building a vibrant faith community for present and future generations.
